The Anti-Choice Project (ACP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization based in Bremerton, Washington, and founded in 2009 by Andrew St.Hilaire and Tom Herring. The mission of the ACP is to end abortion by showing Americans what abortion does to a helpless baby, since injustices which are covered up have no hope of ending. The ACP believes that Dr. Martin Luther King was right when he said, "Like a boil that can never be cured so long as it is covered up but must be opened with all its ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must be exposed, with all the tension its exposure creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured."
Anti-Choice Activism
The 4'x3' hand-held signs the ACP uses which bear an image of a 1st trimester baby killed in an abortion beneath the word "Choice" are held peacefully and silently at busy intersections and other places of public gathering where volunteers are protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
There are currently three chapters of the Anti-Choice Project -- Bremerton, WA; Seattle, WA; and Portland, OR. Consider becoming a monthly donor so we can expand this life saving work into more cities. If you would like to volunteer or are interested in starting an ACP chapter in your city, please contact us at info@antichoiceproject.com.
“Anti-Choice”
Those in the Pro-Life Movement are often accused of being "anti-choice." We, however, find this label perfectly appropriate in light of what is being chosen. When it comes to the "choice" of dismembering an innocent baby, we are unabashedly anti-choice.
Your Support Saves Lives
Can you help us reach hundreds of thousands of more Americans? Your support allows us to show the truth of abortion in more cities to educate citizens about what American indifference and complacency looks like to a defenseless baby in the womb.
This ministry is life saving. On September 12, 2010, a young woman in her 20s approached one of our volunteers to inform him that she had decided against aborting her baby after seeing our signs.

thank you. I am a post abortive woman who regrets so much what she did - and today when I try to tell people I was wrong, those who are 'pro-choice' tell me to 'move to the Vatican'. Their hatred and anger towards me is overwhelming. Please, please keep them and all of us in your prayers.
Hello. I Have been trying to acuire some Anti-Abortion signs so that I can use in demonstratinons were I live. I have found that it is extremly difficult to get them where I live. I have resorted to making them myself out of poster boards, but I havent been able to get any graphic images. If you can refer me to somewhere that I can get some I would be very greatful. Do you guys make them yourself or do you order them from somewhere?
Please contact me at LeaderforChrist25@msn.com
p.s. I live in Central Point, Oregon.
To the post-abortive woman; I'LL BE SURE TO KEEP THEM IN MY PRAYERS. GOD BLESS.
What about rape? Incest? Women who have abused drugs during the beginning of their pregnancy? What about the risk of giving birth to the baby harming the mother?
I hope you realize that you're working this angle in a largely liberal community, and you're not going to get far.
If you're so against abortion, don't have one. BUT LEAVE THE CHOICE FOR THE REST OF US!
And get off the corner of my college. You're photos are scaring the children walking by.
Thanks, Ali, for the comments. I saw some of your pictures from your website. You're very talented.
"What about rape? Incest? Women who have abused drugs during the beginning of their pregnancy? What about the risk of giving birth to the baby harming the mother?"
Rape and incest make up for less than 2% of all abortions performed in the US each year (out of 1.2 million), so if you're willing to outlaw abortion for all other reasons, that would be a start, but my gut says you won't go for that. Speaking on principle, why would we punish a child (with death) for the crime of his father? If a husband beats his wife and abandons her and his children, does that give her justification for killing her kids?
For the mother who abuses drugs during pregnancy -- should the baby's quality of life determine whether he or she has a right to live at all? Can society decide for others that their life is not worth living?
Lastly, situations where the pregnancy poses a threat to the mother's life are extremely rare. Since both the woman and her child are human beings, they are equal in value. When deciding how to ethically intervene in a pregnancy where there is a life-threatening medical problem, one should be guided by this basic moral principle:
One may not commit a wrong action in order to bring about some good effect. One can only commit good actions, or neutral actions, in order to bring about a good effect. This concept is most commonly expressed in the form "the ends do not justify the means."
To give an example, one cannot kill a 5-year-old (a wrong action) in order to obtain his heart for an ill 6-year-old, thus saving the older child’s life (a good effect).
Applying that principle to a pregnancy that, if maintained, could result in the death of the mother and/or child, one may not directly and intentionally kill the innocent child because to do so would be to commit a wrong action. One may, however, commit good or neutral actions. For example, removing a cancerous uterus is a good action. Although it has the effect of saving the mother's life, it also has the effect of ending the child's life. The bad effect, the child’s death, is foreseen but unintended. If the child could be saved, efforts should be made to do so. Whether or not it is moral to perform an action that can have both a good and bad effect is governed by "the principle of double effect."
If abortion became illegal, there would not need to be a clause in the law providing an exception for "when the woman's life is in danger." As has been described above, the measures taken to address such a crisis do not constitute abortion as we know it: directly and intentionally killing an innocent human being. That is always wrong.
"I hope you realize that you're working this angle in a largely liberal community, and you're not going to get far."
Thus far there have been 9 letters to the editor about our demonstrations -- five in favor, four opposed -- and a front page article (above the fold) in the Kitsap Sun. We don't fool ourselves into thinking abortion will end overnight in Kitsap County, but we're confident our signs will end the pretending that abortion is a benign procedure, which removes a "clump of cells" from the mothers womb. Our signs reveal a different reality: that abortion is an act of violence which kills a baby. An unjustifiable act that should neither be tolerated or protected as a right.
"If you're so against abortion, don't have one. BUT LEAVE THE CHOICE FOR THE REST OF US!"
Excellent point. I think I've heard a similar one...
"And get off the corner of my college."
I'm sorry, we didn't realize it was your college! We were under the impression that OC was a public college and the marketplace for ideas. With that in mind, we will be on the corner of your college (indeed, hopefully the campus), on a regular basis to refute the idea that dismembering a helpless unborn baby is a morally acceptable "choice."
The Marin Catholic High School Respect Life Club supports you! Keep it up!
I love the name of this site... "Anti-choice." It just fits so well with this place's content. Man, we should totally apply this philosophy and rational to everything. What an amazing place America would become!
Anonymous,
Thanks for the insight.
Yes, we are anti-choice.
Our society has had enough sense to apply this philosophy and rationale in many cases of grave evil such rape and child abuse, where "choice" simply does not cut it in terms of the law. All we ask is that our laws reflect this same attitude toward killing a baby.
For your Information, not against anybody.
Please help to spread this article to those Pro-Choice.
Do Have Mercy On These Future Beautiful Children!
In the Dharma Assembly for Crossing Over the dead ones who died in the water, on land and in the air, The Venerable Master Hsuan Hua gave the following speech, “in the present society, all kinds of accidents and disasters can frequently be seen. Moreover there are all kind of incurable diseases appear in the world. These are all caused by the karma of killing. To abort a foetus is one kind of killing. The foetus is aborted purposely before it is fully grown. At that moment, it has no where to go but floats like a lost soul in hands. They are forced to leave the mothers’ wombs with incomplete eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind. So their hearts are full of hatred and anger. They float everywhere, crying and weeping. Their soft voices can sometimes be heard, but sometimes not, just like the ringing sound of a bell which rings when there is wind. Their condition is very pitiful. As there is nobody who cares to cross them over, the hatred and anger will be accumulated into an unseen dark force of karma which results in all kinds of misfortunes and calamities in the world. The Human Realm will never be at peace eternally…”
Most people involve in killing have no idea that they have to undergo heavy retribution in the future. Some ignorant people are fighting for their right to abortion. Others who are ignorant coming forward to assist the mother to kill the foetus. It is really pitiful for the mother would be, Instead of helping her to avoid killing, some ignorant people are leading her into future suffering. The suffering for raising a child is very, very much less than the suffering received for killing a foetus in the future as can be deduced from reading the book "Innocent Little Ghosts".

The right of life of the foetus they brought into their womb will be sacrificed without slightest responsibilities on their part. What is the retribution for killing living beings particularly human beings? Those in the Womb are consider Human Beings too. Do you agree?
All forms of killing have retributions, that is when we create the causes of killing the resultant is the bad effect will come upon us eventually whether mentally and/or physically, { We Suffer spiritually when come to Serious illness like cancer]. Those who have abortion have no way to escape their conscience of taking a life in this very life time. [even in future life to come their suffering is not ended as the Buddhist believes.]
Not for argument or debate. Just for reading. Believe it or not, the one who carried out and the one who have the abortion are the best judge for themselves.
We live to see our faults, misfortunes, suffering and eventually. We ourselves will know whether there is life after death when we face the consequences of all kind of problems and suffering after we have carried out the killing ourselves or with someone's help.
For sure & No doubt about the one who have abortion, will experience all kind of sufferings eventually, but do not know why and cannot find the answer.
People like to kill and just kill without knowing the sanctities of all life form & consequences. Similarly if virus or bateria kill us. It is due to our negative energy[SIN] which is overwhelmingly great. You can say we have not being good or have not being doing much good.
To be able to know why we suffer, we have to know what we have done that bring sufferings to us. This require genuine WISDOM.
Killing the foetus is one of the many types of killing as mentioned by The Venerable Master Hsuan Hua of CTTB, USA.
Killing is not about religious opposition. Non religious people also oppose killing. All Human Beings wish to live happily and peacefully. So do we.
The predicament for people who have gone through abortion cannot be perceived by ORDINARY EYE. The uncurable suffering experience by them such as strange diseases and possibly bi-polar, other serious mental & physical health problem as well as behaviour changes. All these suffering have to do with killing.
[Why we do experience unlimited types of suffering? People who are conscious and alert with some basic wisdom will realise the wrong to abort the foetus ].
It is up to us to believe it. We will live to see our suffering eventually. We will blame on everything in the world except ourselves which is wrong.
The father of the foetus(future children) will also be responsible. The father will have to undergo the same retribution, if the mother kills the foetus, because the father is also responsible for bringing a life to the world, there is no doubt about it. Logically thinking. Cause & Effect is very just & fair.

The other day I was driving and the car in front of me had a bumper sticker on their car that read "If you have an abortion it doesn't make you UN-pregnant. It makes you the mother of a dead baby". I pondered that bumper sticker and then I passed the beat up and rusted out unsafe 1994 Nissan Sentra that had 4 kids packed in the back seat with a whale of a woman driving and a toothpick toothless husband in the passenger seat and wished to GOD that that whale would have been aborted herself so her and her kids were never born.
What a bunch of fools. Clearly abortion is great because it acts as a perfect tool for ridding the world of dangerous minorities. Planned Parenthood caught on to this years ago. I wish there was more planned parenthoods in san francisco, so there would be less homosexuals in the world. Actually if you think about it, if we kept aborting women, and lived in a male dominant society once again, abortion would not be necessary, because all women would be extinct. So to end abortion, all we have to do is encourage the aborting of only women (and minorities)as they do in china (it's not like they have an abortion problem). Aborting women or minorities isn't wrong because they are lesser, probably around 43% human beings on the Percent Human Composition scale (PHCS). We should also abort retarded people, because they are essentially useless and costly to society, plus they look stupid and only are about 23% human on the PHCS. Remember, all abortions should be considered on the following criteria:
1. PHCS
2. worth to society
3.cost
4. prospect of going to college
5. prospect of dropping out of highschool (think minorities and retards)
6. minority
7. prospect of homosexual orientation
8. prospect of mental retardation
9. prospect of a possible conversion to the islamic religion
10. Attractiveness
Thank God Justice Blackmun established a right to privacy. I'm hoping that in the future, this will help justify raping my wife and beating my kids, as long as its in the privacy of my own home. And this isn't wrong, because as long as I commit an act, no matter how vile, it's acceptable and should be legal as long as someone in power says it falls under some sort of right that doesn't even exist.
Moreover, who are WE to tell someone not to do wrong? We should live as free human beings. In my utopia, we'd all be happy, because we would abort all gays, retards, and minorities, and be able to rape women as long as we did it privately. Remember, your not commiting and immoral act if it's done privately.
Your pictures are well designed to horrify people. But can you say, they didn't come about by fetal demise and not from abortion. When a pregnancy ends you do not always have a spontaneous delivery, so you then have to go in and remove. Your group uses immoral and intrusive practices to gain entry to schools, and colleges. You do not leave when asked by school officials. But stands on your right to free speech, then what about the rights of the students to listen to your one sided speech. And of course it is always the men who make the choices for women. Then have insurance pay for contraceptive for women. Why then can a man get Viagra paid for and women can’t get birth control.
To Anonymous, who wrote about the bumper sticker, where is your humanity?
It's not a baby!
This fact is obvious. And I'll be there to fight you, again and again, relentlessly, until a woman's right to chose is forever secure and is no longer subject to male hypocrisy, lies, misinformation and control.
I mean, what is it about power that give you a hard on? What IS IT about women that you have so much that you have to lie to them, shame them and intimidate them with your propaganda? Your utter disregard for women and their bodies baffles and disgusts me. In a typical republican, Christianist fashion, you live in a simplistic, simplistic world, reflecting your simplistic way of thinking.
By "A woman's right to choose", you mean A woman's right to choose to kill her baby. The truth is that most women who choose abortion do not make a free choice. Most women do not want to kill their child, they are under pressure from their husbands, boyfriend, or parents. "freedom of choice" is an illusion. Furthermore, there is a difference between choice and license. Nobody has the right to sentence a baby to death via suction machines or scissors or bullets or coat hangers.

"Since both the woman and her child are human beings." You see, this is what the conversation should really be about. Fetuses aren't babies. Something isn't a baby until it's alive. A fetus isn't any more a baby than a liver is, and someone has a right to remove something from their own body.
Fetuses are parasites that destroy your body. They can make you lose your job or drop out of school. And pregnancy carries many health risks, from diabetes to death.
@Post-abortion woman- Our government isn't here to keep you from knowing right from wrong or to keep you from having regrets. Don't go around pretending to know what's best for other people, and maybe you'll earn a little more respect and receive less hatred.
Abortion may be against your moral code, but the government needs to stay out of it. It's an incredibly difficult and personal choice to make. The decision, like all major life-altering decisions, shouldn't be taken lightly. But when life begins is a matter of belief. It's reasonable that you believe life begins at conception, but it's reasonable that I believe that life begins at birth.
@ mike- I love your link! "How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, with love." -Mother Teresa.
So what are you doing to show pregnant women possibly considering an abortion love? I hope it's not by disgusting them with horrific pictures. Because nothing about that shows love.
I find it fitting that this group was founded by two men. You will never know what it's like to choose, so you can be as anti-choice as you want: it will NEVER be YOUR choice. The only thing you do by posting pictures of aborted fetuses is appeal to people's emotional side, not their reason. And if you posted pictures of open-heart surgery, you'd get the same level of disgust.
I think the fact that all the ones that come to visit this page is terrific. but we need more than that, we need more action and lees of watching videos. we need to go out there, get support of more people on the streets, go to schools, get people from churches so forth. Everyone getting mad about abortions behind the computer wont help much. I really would like to do something so if there is anything i can do contact me dante-guzman@hotmail.com. You guys are the leaders here for all of us, direct us. Im sure that we can fight this issue a little harder.
It is somewhat refreshing that you do use the word "antichoice" as it is what it is. However I would like to go down the street without being subjected to post-abortion pictures for the same reason I don't want to see any post-operation pictures - it is disgusting.
I sincerely hope that you never ever gain the power to decide over what happens to my body. I wish that you would turn all your energy to care for all the world's abandoned and unloved children, whether they have been subjected to poverty, war or to mothers who didn't want them but had no choice.
I am an atheist/agnostic recovering lawyer turned yoga teacher, who is pro-life to the core of my being. It is a mistake to assume all pro-life people are christian (or theists at all), republican, or anti-woman. I mean, I won't even bear my husband's last name. I told him shortly before our wedding that I would not be branded with his name like some possession. Antichoice Project, you are absolutely doing the good work of the Universe, understanding that if we want liberty, we must first extend it to others. Abortion is is the quintessential form of bigotry. Don't like abortion? don't have one. Don't like slavery? Don't own one. Don't like baby seal clubbing? Don't by a seal coat. I admire your bravery, which extends far beyond my own. I will devote the energy of my yoga practices for the next month to you and your work. Namaste.
My child was born at 29 weeks. I had severe pregnancy complications, and we fought for weeks before my child's birth to give her the best possible chance. Afterwards, we sat next to an incubator and then a bassinet for 73 days in the NICU watching monitors and hoping that we would have the opportunity to bring her home. Before this experience, I thought I was pro-choice. But after I saw my little peanut swimming around at only 10 weeks via ultrasound and then watched her fight with resolute determination in a hospital, I have gained the deepest respect for the lives of these little ones. Clearly, I do understand the particular issues surrounding the difficult choices that must be made in a pregnancy where the mother's life is threatened, but apart from this, please remember as women, we do have a choice - adoption.
Keep up the important work! To those pro-lifers that object to showing the results of "choice", I ask you this, "How have the pro-life teddy bears and lapel roses worked for the past three decades?" We have thousands of kids continuing to die everyday. Abortion isn't just another political issue---it's life or death for defenseless children. Tell the truth!
