Focus Group: The Impact of Pictures of Aborted Babies

From Priests for Life: In April of two thousand and ten, Priests for Life asked The Polling Company to conduct professional research into the attitudes of the African American community about abortion, and into what kind of messaging would be most effective for them. Focus groups were held in major cities and a nationwide poll was also conducted. One of the things that was done in the focus groups is that pictures of aborted babies were shown to the participants. This had an impact, expressed by these words of one of the participants, “Before I came in to this room today, I was pro-choice. But after seeing those pictures and hearing all that, I think I’ve changed my ideas on abortion.”  Let’s keep in mind the simple truth that the more people see abortion, the more they reject...

Fr. Frank Pavone – It’s All About Life Conference

This Sunday, Tom and myself, along with family members, friends, and hundreds united in the fight against the Culture of Death, were privileged to hear Fr. Frank Pavone speak at the It’s All About Life Conference in Seattle. Fr. Pavone founded Priests for Life in 1993, one of the leading pro-life organizations in the United States. Priests for Life has partnered with Rachel’s Vineyard, the largest post-abortion healing ministry in the world, and Silent No More Awareness, a campaign which includes a coalition of women and men who speak out about their regret to abort their children. Fr. Pavone is decidedly one of the most dynamic and influential leaders in the Pro-Life Movement; a man who has dedicated his life to defending the most vulnerable in our society. Fr. Pavone speaking to a crowd of about 150 outside Planned Parenthood in Seattle Fr. Pavone gave an outstanding talk which presented the way forward for the Pro-Life Movement, in part by highlighting the many ways in which we are winning this fight in America, in spite of the recent set backs which have come from President Obama’s pro-abortion agenda. Among many powerful statements, the following struck me: Public servants who can’t tell the difference between serving the public and killing the public do not belong in public office. Discussing the ACP with Fr. Pavone Tom & Andrew with Fr. Pavone Before his talk, Tom and I had the opportunity to tell him about The Anti-Choice Project. I told him it was, in part, his strong defense of using the graphic images and his statement that “America will not reject abortion...

Nothing is more effective to end abortion.

From Fr. Frank Pavone: Today I want to share with you the following email I received from a pro-abortion person who visited the our website at priestsforlife.org and saw the pictures of aborted babies. She wrote, “I have been a pro abortion catholic… After seeing the pictures of what it exactly was, I nearly cried thinking I supported this awful murder. I ask Jesus my Christ to forgive my past way of thinking. I finally “get it.” This is pure murder. I pray that more people will get to know what it is they are supporting.” The person then signed the letter with the pen name, “My Shame.” These pictures, at priestsforlife.org, have this effect on people every day. Invite others to view these images. You may email and print them. Nothing is more effective to end...
